AN INVITATION ACROSS THE ATLANTIC.
To French-speaking voices in American cinema, fashion, gastronomy, the arts and the world of wine: help a small Catalan initiative find its first genuine connections.
We are looking for introductions, perspective and cultural dialogue—not money, endorsements, influence for sale or a fictional partnership.
Why cultural voices matter.
A region is more than a product category. Film, fashion, music, cuisine and art tell people where they might want to travel, what they might want to taste and whose stories they might remember. Francophone professionals established in the United States can help translate that cultural curiosity across borders.
We believe southern French wine has stories rich enough to interest people well beyond a tasting room. The goal is not to turn celebrities into advertisers. It is to let the right people hear about a sincere initiative.
A personal invitation from Perpignan.
The founder is Catalan and the grandson of a winegrower. WINE ELSE? is a personal, early-stage project intended to give Languedoc and Roussillon wines more thoughtful visibility among Americans. Our provisional site is here to show the direction, not to exaggerate what has already been accomplished.
The domain else.wine is not registered. There is no fundraising appeal, no paid ambassador program and no claim that any winery has joined.
The ways you could help.
An honest opinion on the story and its presentation; an introduction to a sommelier, restaurateur, wine educator, importer or producer who might find it relevant; a suggestion about how American audiences discover French regions; or simply a thoughtful reply. Any public mention would be entirely voluntary and agreed in advance.
We respect your time, your professional independence and your privacy. We will not publish correspondence, quote private comments or display names and logos as endorsements without explicit consent.
What this is not.
It is not a direct-to-consumer wine shop, investment proposal, agency pitch or promise of promotional compensation. It is not asking you to serve or promote alcohol to minors. It is a cultural and editorial bridge still being built, step by step.
If later opportunities for compensated collaboration emerge, the terms and any disclosures will be agreed transparently. For now, a conversation is more than enough.
“We are not asking you to represent the South. We are asking you to discover why its stories are worth telling.”
